House Fire 1137 N. Broadway Ave. (3/10/09)

SQ1 on scene gave heavy smoke showing, E1/SQ1 were fire attack, SQ3 was RIC, E3 was water supply, AP1 was search and rescue, E2 assisted fire attack, BAT1 took command, Fire was found on the second floor along with a large hole. Crews were able to get most of the fire contained without endangering themselves.A second alarm was called. Just before the fire was about to be under control E2 found a small bit of fire between the walls heading to the attic/third floor, crews could not reach the fire before it quickly spread to the attic and the fire went defensive.
